Refund & Cancellation Policy

At our practice, we strive to provide care that is respectful, transparent, and accessible. We understand that seeking psychiatric care can be a vulnerable process, and we aim to handle all financial matters with fairness and clarity.

1. Payment for Services
Payment is required at the time services are scheduled or provided, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

2. Medical Services (Evaluations & Medication Management Visits)
Fees for clinical services reflect the time, expertise, and care provided by licensed professionals.

  • Once a visit has been completed, charges are generally non-refundable.

  • If you experience concerns about your care, we encourage you to reach out so we can address them collaboratively.

3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
We understand that life circumstances can change.

  • Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled without penalty if notice is provided at least 24 hours in advance.

  • Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee of [50%], though we aim to approach these situations with flexibility whenever possible.

4. Medication & Prescription Orders
Due to pharmacy regulations and safety standards:

  • Prescription medications are not eligible for return or refund once dispensed.

  • Specialty prescription medication specifically aquired for your treatment such as Botox must be paid for in full prior to appointment and is not refundable. We urge you to reschedule prior to its expiration, preferably same day. It cannot for safety reasons be released to you without being administered in clinic.

  • If there is an issue with your prescription, please contact us so we can help resolve it.

5. Refunds in Special Circumstances
We may offer refunds or partial refunds in situations such as:

  • Services paid for but not provided

  • Administrative or billing errors

  • Determination that services are not clinically appropriate prior to delivery

All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, with attention to fairness and individual circumstances.

6. Financial Accessibility & Communication
We are committed to improving access to care. If cost is a concern, please reach out—options such as payment plans, reduced fees, or referrals may be available when possible.

7. Questions or Concerns
If you have questions about billing or believe a charge has been made in error, please contact us at [email/contact info] within [30 days]. We will respond promptly and work toward a resolution.

Our goal is to ensure that financial policies do not become a barrier to care. We are committed to treating all patients with dignity, respect, and compassion in both clinical and administrative interactions.

We welcome and actively support people and families of all ages, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community; people who have immigrated here and the vibrant communities they help build; individuals working in the sex industry; and those whose relationship structures and identities may be celibate, monogamous, consensually non-monogamous, relationally expansive, asexual, or expressive in diverse and consensual ways. We are committed to creating a space that is affirming, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and grounded in mutual respect. Abusive, harassing, discriminatory, or dehumanizing behavior toward any individual or community will not be tolerated. If your personal beliefs require the exclusion, diminishment, or harm of others, this practice is unlikely to be a good fit for you.
